Ensuring that each athlete has a unique ID in the system is the key to properly manage their anti-doping files. The system offers different options to avoid creating duplicate profiles:
- National Anti-Doping Organizations testing athletes outside their jurisdiction can use the Athlete advanced search to enter the relevant Doping Control Forms or add them to a Testing Order.
- During the creation of an athlete profile, the system checks within the database whether the athlete profile already exists based on the name, date of birth, gender, nationality, sport and similarity factors. When a potential duplicate is identified, the prompt below is displayed for the user to select one of the proposed records by clicking the ADAMS ID or indicate.
The system prevents the creation of athlete profile records when the threshold is higher than 85%.
- If you notice duplicate profiles please contact the ADAMS support to request a merge.
