Configuring your two-factor authentication method in ADAMS Classic

Non-Athlete user

Non-Athlete users such as agents, doctors, business users, administrators must set up their two-factor authentication (2FA) with a one-time temporary application at their initial login in ADAMS.

  1. Login as a non-athlete user
  2. Review the warning
  3. Configure your 2FA with ToTP

 

 

Athlete user - Not required to use 2FA

  1. Login as an athlete user
  2. Review the screen and select one of the following options:mceclip3.png
  3. "Configure 2FA with TOTP": user is forwarded to th 2FA with ToTP configuration page.
  4. "Configure 2FA with SMS": user is forwarded to the 2FA with SMS configuration page.
  5. "I want to configure it later" the user can skip the configuration for the current session.
  6. " I want to opt out": user is prompted to consent to a legal disclaimer in order to login.

Athlete user - Required to use 2FA

  1. Login as an athlete user
  2. Review the screen and select one of the following options:mceclip4.png
  3. "Configure 2FA with TOTP": user is forwarded to th 2FA with ToTP configuration page.
  4. "Configure 2FA with SMS": user is forwarded to the 2FA with SMS configuration page.
  5. "I want to configure it later" the user can skip the configuration for the current session until the end of the grace period.

Note: It is possible to enable or disable 2FA from your user account preference page.

 

Configure 2FA with ToTP

  1. From your user preferences window
  2. Click Configure 2FA with ToTP to access the configuration page
    By clicking the link " I want to configure it later", the user can skip the configuration for the current session and will be prompted to configure the security option at each login until the end of the grace period. At that point the user is required to configure 2FA in order to login. mceclip0.png
  3. Install or open (if already installed) your two-factor authentication application on your mobile device. Authy, Google authenticator (Android and iOS) or Microsoft authenticator (Android or iOS).
  4. Use the app to scan the provided QR code (using the camera on your phone or tablet) or display the manual code
  5. Enter the generated code by your App
  6. Enter your password
  7. Click Validate

6.  A new screen is then displayed with the confirmation that the TOTP is enabled.

 

Configure 2FA with SMS

  1. From your user preferences window
  2. Click Configure 2FA with SMSmceclip6.png
  3. Select Configure and Enablemceclip7.png
  4. The screen below is displayed. Follow the steps 1 to 3:
    • Step 1: Enter your phone number (Country code+ phone number)
    • Step 2: Enter the code received by SMS
    • Step 3: Enter your password and click on "Validate"mceclip8.png

In case, any code has been received by SMS for any reason, the user can "Resend a code" that will be used for the 2FA with SMS activation.
