- If the sample arrives to the laboratory without the corresponding anonymized Doping Control Form (DCF) and the Testing Authority (TA) is not able to identify the athlete, the TA confirms that the DCF is not available and provides written instructions to the laboratory not to analyze the sample.
Data entry:- Laboratory submits the result with the Status “Cancelled” and Test result “Not Analyzed”.
- TA does not enter a DCF and notifies WADA at testing@wada-ama.orgdocumenting the non-conformity in detail including, as a minimum, the reason for the invalidation of the test, and what follow-up will be implemented.
- If the sample arrives to the laboratory with the corresponding anonymized Laboratory copy of the DCF BUT the Testing Authority does not have the DCF AND the TA cannot identify the athlete, the TA shall allow the Laboratory to complete the analysis:
Data entry:- Laboratory submits the result with the Status “Submitted” and Test result “Analysis result” i.e., “Negative” or “ATF” or “AAF”.
- TA does not (e.g. is unable to) enter a Doping Control Form and notifies WADA at testing@wada-ama.org documenting the non-conformity in detail including, as a minimum, the reason for the invalidation of the test, and what follow-up will be implemented.
- If the Test result is “Negative”, the TA instructs the Laboratory, in writing, to change the status to “Cancelled”. In addition, the “Status Reason” shall be recorded by the Laboratory as “Cancelled by the TA”. The instruction provided by the TA should be detailed in the field “Analysis Details/Explanation/Opinion” or a copy of the TA’s written instructions may be uploaded into the ADAMS record.
- If the Test result is “ATF” or “AAF”, the Result Management process must be completed by the RMA, which shall notify its decision not to move forward (i.e., no case to answer because the prosecution of an ADRV is not possible as the athlete cannot be identified) in accordance with International Standard for Results Management (ISRM) article 5.4. Once the decision is final, the TA instructs the laboratory, in writing, to change status to “Cancelled’.
