Additional information field of Address Book and Additional information field of Whereabouts entry

This field "Additional information" is initially carried from the Address Book entry. If you wish to update it, please follow the steps below:

  • Click to open the Address Book link on the navigation bar


  • Edit the corresponding Address Book entry.


It is also possible to modify the contents and attach it exclusively to the specific whereabouts entry, without affecting the Address Book entry :

  • Click to open a whereabouts entry
  • Edit the Additional information field.




Important Notes (read carefully) : * When information is entered in the “additional information” field of a whereabouts entry, it is added only to the specific whereabouts entry (or the series associated with it).

**Additional information data originally entered in the address book will no longer be synchronized if you edit/update the whereabouts entry from the calendar.
***To re-sync the whereabouts entry's additional information field after it has been edited, delete the record and create a new one.


Scenario A

 

1- The Athlete creates a new entry in the address book (Address Label A)

2- "Value 1" is entered in the additional information of the Address "Label A' from the address book

3- The Athlete creates a new entry in the whereabouts calendar using Address "Label A" for an overnight accommodation

Results :

  1. The"Value 1" of the additional information from the address book is automatically copied into the additional information field of the overnight accommodation in the whereabout calendar.
  2. Therefore, from the athlete calendar we see in the additional information : "Value 1"


Scenario B

1- The Athlete updates/modify an entry directly in his whereabouts calendar

2- For one or more than one specific days, he updates for example his overnight accommodation by replacing "Value 1" to "Value 2" in the additional information field.

Results :

  1. The "Value 2" entered in the additional information of his overnight accommodation doesn't affect the additional information field of the Address "Label A" in the address book.
  2. Therefore,
    1. In the additional information from the whereabouts calendar, we see  "Value 2" and 
    2. In the additional information field of the Address "Label A" from the address book we see "Value 1"


* Additional information data originally entered in the address book will no longer be synchronized if you edit/update the whereabouts entry from the calendar
